When a successful and perfectly 'normal' businessman, Mark Starmer, discovers that he has an ability to hear and speak to angels, an unstoppable chain of events is put in motion that uproots his family, and culminates in their ownership of nineteen dogs.

This true story follows the events leading up to and resulting from the accidental discovery that Mark is an 'open channel'.  A roller coaster journey of spiritual discovery begins as his family encounters startling information that puts a wholly new perspective on everything around us.  Not least amongst this is the revelation that some dogs literally are angels and that they have been living with one!

As Mark is led to find these angelic forms and even locate where dogs will reincarnate, their greater purpose is gradually made clear.  In a reckless leap of faith, the family emigrate to Canada and bring more and more canines into their home.

This is a story about dogs, a voyage of spiritual discovery and a struggle to come to terms with a perplexing new version of the realities that are all around us.  As it shares both the real drama and the learning that is offered by the angels, the tale is intermittently warming, amusing, heart wrenching and occasionally, downright bizarre.
