
Self Connection is a bookstore that specializes in books, audio/video, and gift items for self development, health and wellness, and spiritual healing. Our extensive inventory deals with life and challenges related to personal issues, health, family, friends, and the workplace. We carry a large selection of mental health titles for therapists or mental health Professionals, plus we offer an extensive range of reference books and products supporting alternative health therapies. We believe strongly in the power of the mind-body-spirit connection and the power of thought. We also believe in encouraging and supporting preventative health practices.
We consider ourselves more than a bookstore: we are an information resource that can help customers find answers.
The store has been in existence since October 1978.

1. Subsidy program for non-profit agencies
Self Connection works with charitiable donation partners who help to subsidize the cost of books, cds or dvds for agencies that are non-profit and that have charitable status. The vision and mission of this program is to help non-profits purchase otherwise unaffordable material for their counsellors and for their lending library for clients. 2. Off-site events
Self Connection will support your workshops or conferences by bringing appropriate material to your event and displaying it for the attendees to review and purchase. We will contact your presenters/speakers to see what titles they have either authored or will recommend to the attendees and will endeavor to have those titles present at the event. We come equipped with laptop computers, receipt printers, bar code scanners, and wireless credit/debit card processing machines so that we are able to professionally, accurately and quickly process purchases to enable attendees to get their material and return to their workshops without delays. We will then either share in the revenues from the material sold at the event or we can pay for display space. We will also usually donate something to the organizers as a door prize. Also, if of interest, we will help to promote the event by displaying it in our News & Events section on this website, will put up posters in the stores on the bulletin boards, and will include it in our electronic newsletter.
